Liverpool vs Bournemouth Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane

Bournemouth:
Ramsdale; Stacey, Cook, Ake, Smith; Billing, Lerma, L. Cook; Fraiser, Wilson, King

Liverpool are in big crisis. The Reds suffered three defeats on the last four matches across all competitions. First they lost 1:0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Losing narrowly at Wanda Metropolitano is not a shame, particularly because Liverpool will be hosts in the second leg. But something else is definitely shameful - the Reds failed to register a single shot on target in Madrid. It was strange to watch pathetic display after several months of brilliance. The visit to Watford last weekend finished even worse. Jurgen Klopp's men lost 3:0 at Vicarage Road and stopped the series of 44 Premier League games without a defeat. The defeat at Watford opened some questions, while the Tuesday's 2:0 loss to Chelsea in the FA Cup made it clear Liverpool are in big crisis. Not to mentioned the last two victories - Liverpool were outplayed by both relegation candidates Norwich and West Ham, but won the matches thanks to Alisson superb saves. Klopp must change something for this match. When I mention changes, I don't mean only to change some players, but the attitude and the tactic. Of course, the German coach must rebuild the players confidence too. He has four injury worries as captain Jordan Henderson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Clyne remain sidelined, while Naby Keita is rated as doubtful.

Bournemouth are in the drop zone and they are deeply involved into the relegation battle. The Cherries sit 17th in the table with 27 points, same as Watford and West Ham, two teams away from the drop zone thanks to the goal-difference. It is clear the situation is very complicated. The actual form is poor, they have two defeats and one draw on the last three matches in the Premier League. Bournemouth lost to Sheffield United and Burnley, while remained unbeaten against Chelsea last weekend. The Blues had 1:0 after the first half, but Eddie Howe's men scored twice in three second-half minutes through Jefferson Lerma and Joshua King. Nevertheless, Bournemouth dropped two points at the end as they conceded in the 85th minute. A draw against Chelsea isn't a bad result, but the fact they had advantage until the 85th minute is disappointing. Howe must improve the results or the pressure will raise. He has three injury worries ahead of this match. Defenders Lloyd Kelly and Charlie Daniels are sidelined, as well as David Brooks. That's not all as midfielder Harry Wilson is ineligible to play against his parent club. Knowing he is the team joint-best scorer with seven goals, his absence is a huge handicap.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth Prediction:

Liverpool have won the last five mutual games with Bournemouth by an aggregate score of 17:0. In addition, the last two meetings at Anfield have been won by a three-goal margin. Nevertheless, I think the Cherries will score now. There are two two reasons for my pick. First, they found the back of the net twice against Chelsea. This fact should not be underestimated. Second, Liverpool are in crisis and they have no clean sheet on the last four matches across all competitions.

Chelsea vs Everton Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Chelsea:
Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, Alonso, Barkley, Gilmour, Mount, Willian, Giroud, Pedro

Everton:
Pickford, Sidibe, Holgate, Mina; Baines, Sigurdsson, Davies, Gomes, Walcott, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Chelsea welcome Everton in the Premier League this weekend. It will be a return to Stamford Bridge for Carlo Ancelotti, the double-winning former manager who is fondly remembered by Chelsea fans. He is a man who secured the one and only league and FA Cup double in club's history. At the same time, this match is an opportunity for the Blues to avenge the 3:1 defeat suffered at Goodison Park back in December. Chelsea are coming into this match after mixed results in the last period. First they lost 3:0 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. According to me, they are virtually eliminated from the top-tier European competition. Then, Chelsea were near another defeat, this time at Vitality Stadium last weekend. Relegation-candidates Bournemouth had 2:1 lead until the finish of the match. However, Marcos Alonso equalized in the 85th minute and brought his team a point. The Blues remained fourth on the table, but Manchester United and Wolverhampton are just three points away. Finally, Chelsea managed to beat Liverpool 2:0 in the FA Cup on Tuesday. It was a fantastic performance by the Blues that will give them plenty of confidence going into this match. Willian scored the first, while Ross Barkley the second goal. However, Chelsea paid high prize for the victory as Willian and Mateo Kovacic picked up foot injuries. They will probably skip this match. Tammy Abraham, who missed the last games due to an ankle injury, is also questionable. Midfielder N'Golo Kante is still struggling with a muscle injury. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is recovering, but this match comes too soon for him,. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic remain sidelined. Jorginho will serve the first of his two-match league suspension after receiving his 10th yellow card. Lampard must decide between Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero about the club's first-choice keeper.

Everton are sharing the 10th place with Arsenal. Both teams have 37 points and they are five away from the European spots. Even a Champions League place is in combination after Manchester City received a two-year ban from UEFA. That is why the points from this match are extremely important for the Merseysiders. But Stamford Bridge is one of the most unpleasant venues for Everton. The Toffees have failed to win any of their last 24 Premier League matches at this stadium. Their last victory there in any competition came in November 1994. However, last season's fixture finished with a goalless draw. I believe Ancelotti will be satisfied with a point from this match now. The current form is poor, no win on the last two matches. First they lost 3:2 to Arsenal at the Emirats, while last week played an 1:1 draw with Manchester United. Everton were gifted a goal in the opening minutes, but United equalized during the first half. Everton had a goal disallowed in the finish of the match, so the Italian manager came up to referee Chris Cavanagh after the final whistle. Clearly displeased with this decision, Ancelotti told the official something and quickly saw the red card which automatically means he will serve a touchline ban. In addition, the guests will be without Seamus Coleman and Morgan Schneiderlin due to injuries, while full-back Lucas Digne is rated as doubtful due to a muscle injury. Leighton Baines will continue to deputize at left-back if Digne fails to recover in time.

Chelsea vs Everton Prediction:

Chelsea won 2:0 against Liverpool during the midweek and the players confidence is higher. I expect to score in this match too. Nevertheless, the key reason for my pick is connect with Everton. The Toffees have scored and conceded in each of the last six matches. In addition, Chelsea have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight home Premier League games. I expect an efficient match at Stamford Bridge with goals on both sides.

Manchester United vs Manchester City Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Manchester United:
De Gea, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Matic, James, Bruno Fernandes, Greenwood, Martial

Manchester City:
Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Stones, Mendy; Rodri, David Silva, De Bruyne; Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Mahrez

Manchester United will welcome their bitter rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford in the 182nd edition of "Manchester Derby". City players will travel four miles from their Etihad Stadium to Old Trafford to play their first Premier League match since winning Carabao Cup last weekend. This is a derby with great tradition. The first meeting between the two teams occurred on 12 November 1881, when West Gorton – who would later become Manchester City – hosted Newton Heath – who would later become Manchester United. The game finished 3:0 in favour of the Heathens (United).

As of 29 January 2020, there have been 181 competitive meetings between the teams. United have won 75 and City 54, while the remaining 52 games finishing as draws. They already played three times this season. United won the reverse fixture this season in the Premier League with 2:1 at the Etihad. However, City were more successful when these two sides faced in Carabao Cup, securing a 3:2 aggregate win.

United are sharing the fifth position, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. The Red Devils will try to secure a Champions League spot. The actual form is solid, United are unbeaten on the last nine matches across all competitions. They were also successful in UEFA Europe League eliminating Belgian outfit Club Brugge with 6:1 aggregate victory. The arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon brought some new energy. He quickly became a new leader, scoring two goals and assisting two more in the Premier League. Solskjaer has another good news as Paul Pogba returned to first-team training this week. It is not impossible to play here, even I think this match comes too soon for him. Daniel James is also rated as doubtful and will be assessed ahead of the match. Marcus Rashford is definitely out, along with Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Lee Grant. January signing Odion Ighalo is pushing for a place after scoring a brace at Derby in the FA Cup victory. The 30-year-old has three goals from just two starts.

City are comfortably sitting on the second position. They are 22 points behind league leaders Liverpool, but also seven ahead of third-placed Leicester. On the top of that City have a match in hand. Last weekend Pep Guardiola's men won the second trophy of the season. They beat Aston Villa 2:1 in Carabao Cup final and lifted the trophy at Wembley. Previously they won the FA Community Shield in August. City are dominant in every match as Guardiola has some of the best midfielders in the World. The Spaniard has most of his players available for the trip to Old Trafford, but key central defender Aymeric Laporte is out injured. His absence is a big handicap as Guardiola has found it difficult without the Frenchman. John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi are not capable of playing at the same level, so midfielder Fernandinho played most of the time on that position. Pep has a 'sweet' problem in attack as Gabriel Jesus scored important match winning goals against Leicester City and Real Madrid in recent games. Nevertheless, I believe Aguero will remain first option.

Manchester United vs Manchester City Prediction:

Manchester United looked much better with Bruno Fernandes in the midfield. The former Sporting Lisbon player gives the Red Devils a different dimension. However, I believe City will be able to control the midfield as usual. The quality is on City side and I believe they will win the match.
