Monday Night football this week see two of the potential for great match as 7th placed Liverpool host 3rd placed Tottenham at Anfield. Liverpool are still unbeaten at home this season with 4 wins and 7 draws. They will boosted by the fact Luis Suarez will be available after as he has served his 8 match ban. Liverpool will be looking to narrow that 5 point gap that between them and Chelsea who are in the champions league places.
Tottenham are 3rd and look likely to secure a champions league place for next season. As they are 7 points clear of 5th placed Newcastle. Spurs have been impressive at home and away this season losing just the 3 away games, drawing 2 and winning 6. Spurs come into this game in good form losing just one game in the last 9. Liverpool’s recent form is a little more shaky with just one win in there last 4 but they did look impressive in there last premier league match winning 3-0 away at struggling wolves.
I think this game is a tough one to call and i feel both sides will come away with a point tonight. I’m going to back the draw tonight at 3.5 with totesport.
Team News:
Liverpool:
Suarez is set to be named in Dalglish's matchday squad, with the Liverpool boss excited by the prospect of seeing the Uruguayan work alongside Andy Carroll and Steven Gerrard. Suarez has not played since Boxing Day, though, and may have to make do with a place among the substitutes.
Talismanic skipper Gerrard is back in contention having been rested for the midweek win at Wolves.
Predicted Lineups:
Reina
Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique
Kuyt, Gerrard, Adam, Downing, Bellamy,
Carroll
Tottenham:
New signing Louis Saha could make his Tottenham debut at Anfield, as Jermain Defoe (hamstring) is unlikely to play, Rafael van der Vaart is struggling with a calf problem and Emmanuel Adebayor hobbled off during Tuesday's win over Wigan with a hamstring complaint.
Aaron Lennon (hamstring) is extremely doubtful, William Gallas (calf) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) are unavailable, but Kyle Walker (groin) and Ledley King (knee) should be fit.
Predicted Lineups:
Friedel
Walker, King, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto
Kranjcar, Sandro, Parker, Bale
Modric
Saha
Last 6 Games (league):
Liverpool: WLDLWD
Tottenham: WLDWWD
Prediction: Liverpool 1 – 1 Tottenham
My Pick: Liverpool and Tottenham to draw at 3.5 (5/2)
Outside Bet: 1-1 correct score at 7.5 (13/2)
