AC Milan host Catania this evening with an automatic Champions League spot in the mix after Fiorentina won 3-0 earlier today to leapfrog Milan into third place.

Mario Ballotelli is back for Milan this evening after a two match suspension. Kevin-Prince Boateng and Matthieu Flamini are both available after missing last weeks match against Juventus however club captain Massimo Ambrosini will miss out due to injury however he has played less than half of the match time this season and will not be a major loss as Catania will sit back and try to contain Milan. Daniele Bonera is expected to take the place of the suspended Cristian Zapata to partner Philippe Mexes at centre-back.

Catania have something of a crisis in defence as they played a Sicilian derby last weekend in while a mass brawl resulted in goalkeeper Mariano Andujar being suspended after his sending off in the final minute of the 1-1 draw with Palermo, while defenders Giuseppe Bellusci and Nicolas Spolli are missing after both picked up yellow cards that triggered bans in the tie.

Last year's corresponding fixture saw Milan run out comfortable winners, cruising to a 4-0 victory at San Siro.

Catania haven't beaten Milan in the league since they regained promotion to Serie A in 2006.
