Liverpool will try to secure quarter-finals of the FA Cup when host Norwich City to Anfield on Wednesday evening. The Reds have eliminated Shrewsbury and Cardiff City in the previous stage of the competition. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent following the weekend success in the League Cup. Jurgen Klopp's men defeated Chelsea on penalties at Wembley to secure their record-breaking ninth EFL Cup crown and first since 2012. It was a crazy match with lot of chances, wasted opportunities and disallowed goals on both sides. Liverpool and Chelsea struck 21 successful penalties before Kepa - brought on specifically for the penalties - blazed over the bar. It was a memorable night for Liverpool fans. Some of them have started to dream about the quadruple. Nevertheless, the Reds need to stay focused against Norwich City. Klopp will probably make lot of changes compared to the starting eleven from Sunday's final. Full-backs Trent and Robertson need a rest after 120 minutes against the Blues, as well as midfield trio Naby Keita, Fabinho and Henderson. But Klopp also has two injury worries as Roberto Firmino remains in the treatment room with his muscular problem, while Thiago Alcantara suffered injury during the warm-up at Wembley. The likes of Kostas Tsimikas, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harvey Elliott and Divock Origi could start the match.

Norwich City managed to eliminate Charlton Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the previous rounds of the FA Cup. Interesting, both victories were obtained away from home and both were with the same result - 1:0. Millot Rashica and Kenny McLean scored the winners on these matches. But the Canaries are not similarly successful in the Premier League. They are deeply involved into the relegation battle and their situation is very complicated. The club officials reacted and brought the former Aston Villa manager Dean Smith, but the results remain poor. The Canaries suffered defeats on the last three matches in the Premier League. It is true they had difficult opponents in Manchester City, Liverpool and in-form Southampton, but that shouldn't be an excuse. Norwich have conceded four goals from the Citizens, three at Anfield and two at St Mary's. To be worse, they have some injury and suspension problems. Captain Grant Hanley must serve a one-match suspension, while Ozan Kabak, Adam Idah and Andrew Omobamidele remain sidelined due to injuries. Jakob Sorensen has recovered from his knee injury and is rated as doubtful.

Liverpool vs Norwich City Prediction:

Liverpool and Norwich faced at Anfield two weeks ago, with the Reds winning 3:1. Liverpool will try to win again, while I am not sur about the Canaries. Most probably Smith will prioritize top-flight survival battle rather than FA Cup. But that doesn't mean they will give up. On contrary, they will play without pressure. That is why I am expecting an open and efficient match.
