France - The European Basketball Tournament Most Valuable Player Center Pau Gasol led the the Spain to defeat Lithuania 80-63 and to reclaim the title on Sunday. Spain gained its 3rd title within the last four events following the settled bronze last two years. On the other hand, the first runner up Lithuania had its 2nd runner up position after the loss in the final from France in 2013.

Spain's MVP stated: ''It was an incredible championship,'' ''We went through struggles early on but the team responded well and with our backs to the wall we understood that we had to play better defense.''
