France - Star Guard Tony Parker led his defending champion team with 18 points and 6 assists to win over Latvia then to set up an interesting match up with Spain within the semifinals of the European Basketball Championship. On the other hand, Star Power Forward of Spain Pau Gasol ended up with 27 points while Nikola Mirotic included 18 points to set up a place within the semifinals with a victory over Greece 73-71.
