Yes you can gamble but only in a few places and of course online. States and provinces where there are Casinos are Goa, Daman and Sikkim, where people flock with gambling in mind. Sites like Bet365, Fairplay999 and Dafabet are some of India's biggest online players.

But are those websites operating legally in India? I mean, can I just create my own and start advertising? Are payments blocked? Any more information would be great to have
 
Have you tried opening an online casino with games in India? Or through Indian IP adress? (VPN might help) If it doesnt open, then no, its not allowed in India.
