Almost every day we are witnesses of some football transfers. Day by day, transfer fees are increasing and we can’t do much about it. Or we can? It seems that Australian A-League has been found the pattern to improve its league quality, produce younger talents and stay attractive for the viewers at the same time. What is their secret? It is equality. In Australian A-League, there were 10 teams competing this season. 9 of them came from Australia and 1 from New Zealand. Their advantage over the other world leagues lays in the fact that every team has the same salary cap at the beginning of each season. A wise man from the past said once: How much money do you give, that much music you will get. With all teams having the same amount of money to spend, they are avoiding French league scenario, where Paris Saint Germain bought most of the talented and quality players and securing the league title 10 rounds before the end of the season. Another nice thing about A-League is that each team must be built with the players with who are between 20 and 26 years of age old with exceptions of star player and 3 players who have to be under 20. But how are they promoting their sport when they don’t have any stars to play for them? It would be really hard… But, they found a great solution once again. Every team is allowed to sign two Marquee players (Star players), who will bring publicity and football quality to them as well. Their salaries are excluded from the salary cap. Throughout the 14 year history, Australian A-League had some great star players signed at the short term contracts. Alessandro Del Piero and David Villa are probably the best players to play in A league, but there were also some other great players like Emile Heskey, Robbie Fowler, and William Gallas. With so much equality among the teams, A-League is a great league to bet at since odds are always attractive. There are no big favorites and “surprises” are always possible. A-League is also known as the league where many goals are scored within a short period of time, which is a great thing when we talk about goals betting. Probably the best choice of bets is provided within the online casino gaming in NZ. There is also best online casino bonus list, where you can take the most of your money via double bet offers or cashback offers.
Season 2018/2019 provided a lot of adrenaline to the viewers and for players as well. Perth Glory managed to win Premier's plate – the trophy which is presented for the team who finished at the 1st place in the regular season with the 60 points gained from 27 games. Although they finished at the 1st place in the regular season, they had some hard times at the semi-finals and the finals game. After a very exciting game against Adelaide United in the semifinals which finished 3-3, penalty shots lottery was on their side and they somehow managed to go into the finals. Their opponents, Sydney FC had a lot easier job in the SF, they easily won 6-1 against Melbourne victory to schedule their ticket to the finals played at the 19th May, at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
All looked like Perth is going to lift the trophy into the air in front of their fans, but there were 90 minutes of football in front of us (at least we thought so). Although both teams are known as very efficient and attractive teams to watch, the pressure made their legs hard and nervous. Both teams struggled offensively, missing many opportunities in regular 90 minutes so we went to overtime scoreless. Extra 30 minutes didn’t bring us winner as well so penalty kicks decided the winner of the league. Penalty kicks were very one-sided though. Sydney FC managed to convert all of their 4 penalties, while Perth Glory scored the first only, missing the next two.
Milos Ninkovic – former center midfielder of Champions league winner, Red Star Belgrade – the marquee player of Sydney FC was pronounced for the man of the match, even if he didn’t have the chance to take the penalty.
