A small card to day so I had time to do small write-ups...
(1)DENVER -2.5 at Houston...
I am playing two games tonight and this one is the more dicey of the two in my opinion. This game is getting action on both sides from those who do this for a living which in itself is usually enough to lay off. I respect Houston as an overall team, especially at home, but this Denver team is very, very good and a definite threat to knock over the apple cart and take out the Lakers in the West, then the winner of the Magic and Cavaliers in the NBA championship. They beat Houston by 5 (97-92) the last time they played in Houston (Jan 27TH) without Carmelo Anthony and I do not see anything that makes me think Denver will not win again, this time by 5-10 points most likely with Melo playing. The fact that the line is so screwy and the game is basically split between those in the know is a bit disconcerting, but I have to go with what I know and I know that Denver should cover a competitive game when it is over. They have Washington at home tomorrow night and no reason to look ahead. I am taking Denver -2.5...
(2)UTAH -10.5 at Washington
I do not believe in "game of the year" nonsense, but if I did Utah would be one tonight. Washington is a young team that would be folding camp about now anyway, but when you throw in the horrendous luck of playing 5 games in 6 nights due to the rescheduling caused by the freakish winter storm recently and the last two being in Utah and then Denver they are in serious trouble. Looking back on the past month Utah has had no problem beating teams who are better the Washington very badly at home. It does not help Washington that Utah is on a rare two game losing streak and will be focused coming back home wanting to take out their frustrations on whomever is in front of them and unfortunately for Washington it is them. I am all over Utah tonight and will be on Denver tomorrow night if the line is less then 20 and it will be. Any game can lose but I am liking Utah -10.5 very much...BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE TONIGHT..TIM
