Arsenal will welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Emirates Stadium in a Champions League semi-final first leg. The Gunners outplayed and outclassed Real Madrid in the quarterfinals and secured a 5:1 aggregate victory against the most successful side in the history of the competition. The first match was crucial. Against all odds, Arteta's men beat Real Madrid 3:0 in London. Arteta will not stop there, particularly not after they eliminated Real. The injury situation is still a problem, Gabriel, Kai Havertz, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Jesus and Jorginho remain sidelined, while Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori are both rated as doubtful due to knee injury. But the biggest problem could be the absence of Thomas Partey due to suspension.

Paris Saint-Germain became an expert for Premier League sides. They were poor during the group stage of competition, but managed to secure the knockout phase after a big victory against Manchester City in the penultimate round. Guardiola's men had 2:0 in the second half, but PSG scored four and won 4:2. The series continued in the knockout stage where they eliminated Liverpool. They refused to give up, even suffered a painful 1:0 home defeat. The Parisians won 1:0 at Anfield and qualified on penalties. A 3:1 home win against Aston Villa was enough for another success. PSG narrowly lost in Birmingham and secured the semifinals. PSG have secured the Ligue 1 title, but the Arab owners are no more satisfied with domestic trophies. Nasser Al-Khelaifi is desperate to win the Champions League as he spent enormous money in new players in the last years. He brought the biggest stars, like Messi, Neymar, M'bappe, but without success. However, coach Luis Enrique composed a good team without superstars and many believe this is the right moment for PSG. The Spaniard has a full squad at his disposal.

Arsenal vs Paris Saint-Germain Prediction:

I expect an interesting clash in London. Arsenal were fantastic against Real Madrid, however I think Paris Saint-Germain could leave the Emirates unbeaten. The key reason for my pick is connect with the situation in Arsenal squad. Many players are struggling with injuries, but the biggest problem is the suspension of Thomas Partey. Arteta has no other option on that position as Jorginho is injured. This is a big problem for Arteta and I expect PSG to benefit.
