Famous bookie Vegas Dave (Dave Oancea) bet several Las Vegas casinos the sum of $140,000 on the Kansas City Royals winning the World Series in 2015. In addition to making the $2.5 million, in the same week, Vegas Dave also pocketed in the same month of November $200,000 after betting on Holly Holm's victory over Ronda Rousey.
4. $1.825 million dollars
Steve Whiteley, an engineer in the UK, bet £2 on six horses to win races taking place on the same day in Ireland and the UK. At the age of 61, Whiteley hit the jackpot, with all the horses winning and turning the engineer on his day off into a millionaire. Without checking his bet, Craggs only found out that he was the winner when he returned to the same place to place another bet and was told that he was England's newest millionaire.

Tiger Woods had not won a golf competition in over a decade. That didn't stop James Adducci from betting $85,000 that the golfer would win the Masters in 2019. His boldness was rewarded with more than a million dollars in returns.
