Malmo vs Sundsvall Preview:

Malmo are the leaders in Swedish Allsvenskan. They have 24 points with a record of seven victories, three draws and one defeat, with excellent goal-difference of 22:8. However, AIK Solna, Goteborg and Djurgarden have 21 points, just three less than the leaders. It is clear Malmo need the points from this match. And I believe they will win here. Even more, I expect to win with at least two goals. Malmo are in very good form at the moment, particularly at home. They have five victories in a row at Swedbank Stadion and most of them were in handicap. The series started with a 2:0 win over Ostersunds. Marcus Antonsson scored the opener in the first half, while Markus Rosenberg set the final result in the second. Next, Malmo secured a high 4:1 win over Hammarby. Four goals, all in the second half, were scored by four different players - Amor Traustason, Marcus Antonsson, Soren Rieks and Markus Rosenberg. Elfsborg were the third victims. Once again Malmo won 4:1, only the goalscorers were different - Markus Rosenberg netted a brace, while Anders Christiansen and Soren Rieks also put their names on the scoring list. Two weeks ago Malmo narrowly beat Kalmar with 1:0 thanks to Anders Christiansen's goal. On Saturday Malmo were outstanding as they beat AFC Eskilstuna with 5:0. Guillermo Molins was the key name on that match after scored a brace. The remaining three goals were scored by Marcus Antonsson, Soren Rieks and Anders Christiansen. For this match coach Uwe Rosler has most of the players available, but midfielder Fouad Bachirou, as well as defenders Rasmus Bengtsson and Lasse Nielsen, remain out injured.

Sundsvall sit in the drop zone and they are involved into the relegation battle. So far they have nine points with a record of two victories, three draws and six defeats. The fans are not satisfied as they were expecting more. Coach Joel Cedergren is feeling some pressure, as well as the players. The actual form is awful, they have four defeats and just one draw on the last five matches in Allsvenskan. The series of defeats started at Hacken where they lost 1:0. Then came a home loss to Orebro (1:2), followed by two defeats on road. Sundsvall lost 1:0 at Sirius and 2:0 at Norrkoping. As You could see, they failed to score a single goal on the last three away matches. The series of defeats came to the end this weekend when Sundsvall played an 1:1 draw with AIK at home. The goal they received was a huge mistake by defender Pol Moreno who wanted to return the ball to the goalkeeper William Eskelinen, but made it very bad. Few minutes later Alexander Blomqvist got out injured and the thin squad was severely cut in the edge. Nevertheless, David Batanero scored an equalizer in the 42nd minute. Interesting, his left foot is perhaps best in Allsvenskan, but this time he scored with his right foot. Both coaches were careful in the second half, so the match ended with the same result. Cedergren has seven injury worries ahead of this match. Omar Eddahri, Chidi Dauda Omeje and Oliver Berg are definitely sidelined, while Eric Bjorkander, Alexander Blomqvist, Linus Hallenius and David Batanero are rated as doubtful. Just to mention, Hallenius is the club leading scorer with six goals and his absence could be a huge handicap. Coach Cedegren has said that the medical team will decide if he starts on the day of the match.

Malmo vs Sundsvall Prediction:

I expect Malmo to win this match. Even more, I expect to win with at least two goals. They are in series of five victories at home and Swedbank Stadion became a fortress. Sundsavll, meanwhile, are in poor form, particularly on road. They suffered defeats on the last three away matches. Even worse, Sundsvall failed to score a single goal on the mentioned three games.

Malmo vs Sundsvall Pick: Malmo -1.5 Asian Handicap @ 1.97 with Bet365
