Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Nottingham Forest in Tuesday's Premier League contest at the Amex Stadium. It is important match as both teams suffered defeats during the weekend. The Seagulls were defeated 2:0 by Brentford on Friday night. Brighton sit on the seventh place with 14 points. They have registered two defeats in the last two matches and the players confidence is lower. This is a big problem and I am sure the new coach Roberto De Zerbi will come under pressure in case of another defeat. The Italian is still looking for his first win as Seagulls boss after taking over from Chelsea-bound Graham Potter. For this match he will be without Kaoru Mitoma, Levi Colwill, Jan Paul van Hecke and long-term absentee Jakub Moder. Brighton fans were disappointed by the news of Enock Mwepu's retirement at the age of just 24 due to a hereditary heart condition. De Zerbi is expected to make some changes after the defeat to Brentford, with Adam Lallana replacing Pascal Gross in the midfield.
Nottingham Forest sit at the bottom of the table with five points, but the club officials handed Steve Cooper a new three-year contract after their four-goal hammering at Leicester City 10 days ago. On Saturday they suffered a narrow defeat to Wolverhampton after missing a penalty in the finish of the match. Nottingham are out of form, they have six defeats and a draw in the last seven Premier League games, including three straight losses on road. The atmosphere in the squad is poor and that's a huge problem. Cooper will definitely be without Moussa Niakhate, Jack Colback and Omar Richards, but three more are rated as doubtful. Serge Aurier is struggling with a muscular injury, Renan Lodi is nursing an ankle problem, while Lewis O'Brien is fighting to recover from illness in time for Tuesday. Some changes are expected as Jesse Lingard, Taiwo Awoniyi and Orel Mangala are pushing for a place in the starting eleven.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Nottingham Forest Prediction:
I expect less than three goals at Amex. Brighton have failed to score on the last two matches. It is clear they have problem at the moment. Nottingham, meanwhile, are extremely defensive side. They didn't score on the last three away matches. Even a penalty wasn't converted against the Wolves on Saturday. At the moment, despite a summer outlay in excess of £100m, Forest are still a poor side.
