The defending champions implemented an defensive intensity to overcome the less NBA player rosters of Venezuela. Kevin Durant had 16 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assist while Carmelo Anthony contributed 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist to help the USA team rout the Venezuela 113-69.
