Pokerstars Review
History
Pokerstars is online since September 11, 2001, at first the site offered only play money poker. Then it began to offer poker with real money at December 12, 2001. Originaly it was Costa Rican company owned by Scheinberg family of Israel. The company was subsequently moved to the Isle of Man, a British Crown dependency. The move was driven by the establishment of a 0% corporate tax rate and the removal of rules barring companies from accepting casino and poker bets from America.[3] PokerStars holds its license with the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, and is also licensed in Italy by the Amministrazione Autonoma dei Monopoli di Stato (AAMS).
Since just a few months the site stopped accepting US players.
Pokerstars in Short
Pokerstars is definately the best poker site, they don't have cocurrents for now. There is no other poker site that brings together so much players from every country in the World.
The Players
The players range from poker pros to some really bad players, but the overall level is above average. We don't recommend this for completely new players.
Games Offered
Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Seven-Card Stud in all versions, H.O.R.S.E., H.O.S.E., 2-7 Triple Draw, Five-Card Draw, Razz, 2-7 Single Draw Lowball, Badugi, 8-Game, Mixed Hold’em and Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo.
