Ideally you want a royal flush when the other guy has an ace high flush; and this happened recently at Carbon Poker, triggering the bad beat jackpot, and the loser (or rather winner) pocketed over $200k. That is poker.
 
I have seen some amazing stories, like 2 royal flushes at 2 consecutive games. Once you get it in your life it may come again very fast...

More like 640.000 to one , 64.000 is not that hard to reach if you multitable SH games (avg 110x4 , that would be a royal flush/month for 5 hrs/day)

And the rest of the players (99%) on BBJ tables payed the extra rake , that's poker .
 
I got my first and only royal flush just 2 weeks ago in a home cash game. I had the ace of diamonds.... the flop came Kd, Qd, 10d. I caught the Jd on the river. I played it waaaayyy wrong, though. I intentionally showed everyone the ace of diamonds, hoping that people would fold. Well, when the Jack came on the river, they did.

Coincidentally, less than a week later I caught my second straight flush ever (the royal flush above having been the first), while playing online.

Straight flushes and Royal Flushes are few and very far in between. I've only seen 2 royals and 3 straight flushes in my poker league.

I hope you will get one more very soon...!
 
Wow. In all my years I have never seen a Royal Flush!! Lucky you!
