The Padres cannot afford to lose to Seattle again. If the loss in the first game can be blamed on a tough road trip, there are no excuses for losing the second game.

The class of the opponents, the class of the starting pitchers, the tournament motivation. Everything here favors a second straight win for the Mets over the Reds. It's likely to happen. There seems to be no reason at all to think otherwise.

Chicago Cubs - New York Mets
NY crushed the Cubs in game one. And it seems like Chicago has no chance of success in the second game either. The class of the teams here is simply not comparable.

It looks like the Red Sox will have a chance for success. The Yankees have been on a roll lately, and Boston pitcher Eovaldi, for example, has had four quality starts in a row. If the Sox lose, it will be in a very tough contest.

Contrary to the fine names on the bat (Altuve, Tucker, Pena, Judge, Stanton, Rizzo, Torres) it is the defensive element that is dominant. According to the individual batters, in the current campaign, they have surpassed the 8+ run milestone on 2 out of 5 occasions. Given the decent pitchers on the slide, I am inclined that cautious baseball will continue.

I recommend playing the visitors to win. The main reason is the pitching ability. The visitors are releasing a debutant who is just gaining experience and making his strides in 2022.

This is ML - the money line. It is the same as money line odds, or apparently the same as "line format". Denotes a two-way money line. ML odds can be positive or negative.
"+" tells me what my winnings will be for a $100 bet.
"-" how much I would have to bet to make a net profit of $100.

Detroit Tigers - San Diego Padres
I'll back the Padres, who have significantly more options. They are in excellent control with the bullpen, where a team-wide ERA of 3.7 puts them in the top 10 in MLB. This is backed up by the bat, where Manny Machado looks great. My guess is that after a pretty good showdown with the Mets, they'll try to keep picking up wins.

Boston Red Sox - Cleveland Guardians
The line is even and it is logical to watch. It is hard to believe in possible success for the hosts. They are releasing a dismal pitcher in crisis. Plus they lost their best hitter, Devers (22 HR). Against the backdrop of a huge slump, it would be more correct to look towards the visitors.
