11th in the Premier League with 43 points from 34 games, Aston Villa can neither hope nor fear anything at the end of the season. Nevertheless, after a bad run of four defeats, the Villans have looked good in the last three games. First of all, they got a good point at Leicester (0-0). Then, the Birmingham-based team picked up two victories against Norwich (2-0) and Burnley (1-3).

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League and three points behind leaders Manchester City, who have a slightly better goal difference. The Reds have not lost any of their last 16 league games (13 wins and 3 draws). After winning three games in a row (Manchester United, Everton and Newcastle), they dropped some precious points last weekend.

Liverpool, who were held back last weekend, should be back on track this week with a win in Birmingham against an Aston Villa team that is no longer playing for much.
