West Ham vs Crystal Palace Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

West Ham:
Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Balbuena, Masuaku, Anderson, Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Chicharito, Perez

Crystal Palace:
Hennessey, Wan-Bissaka, Sakho, Tomkins, Aanholt, Meyer, Milivojevic, Kouyate, McArthur, Zaha, Townsend

West Ham started the season in awful way. They suffered four defeats in the first four rounds of the Premier League and new manager Manuel Pellegrini came under huge pressure, as well as the players. However, the results have improved in the next period and West Ham now sit on the 13th place with 18 points. The actual form is very good, they have two victories in the last two rounds. Last weekend they managed to beat Newcastle with 3:0, while on Tuesday won 3:1 against Cardiff City. Lucas Perez was the key name on that match. He scored twice after came off the bench replacing the injured Marko Arnautovic. Perez, who arrived from Arsenal during the summer transfer window, became the first West Ham player to score twice as a substitute in a Premier League game since Paulo Wanchope against Newcastle in April 2000. His good form is very important at the moment as Arnautovic will be sidelined the next three or four weeks with a hamstring injury. Robert Snodgrass should also be mentioned as he provided two assists on the last match. However, Pellegrini still has lot of injury worries. Winston Reid, Manuel Lanzini, Carlos Sanchez, Andriy Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks and Aaron Cresswell remain sidelined, as well as already mentioned Marko Arnautovic. In addition, Jack Wilshere is rated as doubtful due to an ankle issue.

Crystal Palace sit on the 15th place with twelve points. They are just three points away from the relegation zone and there is no space for any relaxation. The overall form isn't good, they have suffered six defeats on the last nine matches in the Premier League. I believe the fans aren't satisfied as they expect more. On Tuesday the Eagles lost 3:1 to Brighton despite the fact that opponents played for 62 minutes with only 10 men. Palace manager Roy Hodgson was disappointed with the performance of his players. He was wondering how his men only managed to breach the last line of defense once with their numerical advantage. To be worse, key player Wilfried Zaha showed lot of nervous and had a tense encounter with a Brighton fan. It is clear the away form is a huge problem for Crystal Palace. The Eagles have picked up just one point from their past five Premier League away games, losing four of them and conceding 10 goals. For this match Hodgson has no new injury or suspension worries. Christian Benteke remain sidelined with a knee issue. Most probably he will return to training before the end of the year. Scott Dann and Connor Wickham are closing in on a return to training, but it seems this match come too soon for both.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace Prediction:

West Ham are in good form at the moment. They are in mini series of two victories. I believe the players confidence is high. The injury of Marko Arnautovic is a big handicap, but Lucas Perez, who score a brace on Tuesday, is an adequate replacement. Having on mind Palace poor away form, I expect West Ham to win the match.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace Pick: Home win
