Arsenal vs Paris Saint-Germain Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Arsenal:
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Havertz, Partey, Rice; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli

Paris Saint-Germain:
Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Neves, Zaire-Emery; Dembele, Kolo Muani, Barcola

Arsenal will welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening. This is a match between two trophy pretenders, but also a match between two fortunate sides. Arsenal escaped the first-round defeat after Atalanta failed to convert a penalty, while PSG also counted their lucky stars in a last-minute narrow victory over La Liga surprise package Girona. However, this is the most interesting clash in the second round and Arsenal need a victory to stay in the battle for Top-8, but they had lot of problems against Leicester City on Saturday. David Raya was unable to stop two efforts from Leicester City's James Justin and it seems the match will ended with a 2:2 draw. However, Arsenal scored two stoppage-time goals and collected three points to stay in touch with other title pretenders. Arteta could be satisfied with the victory, but the problem is the absence of the key creative Martin Odegaard. He suffered an ankle injury while on international duty and will be sidelined for a longer period. In addition, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also out injured. Ben White, who has missed the last two games due to a knee issue, is rated as doubtful.

As I wrote above, Paris Saint-Germain were lucky to secure the last-minute victory over Girona. The French champions took advantage from a massive goalkeepers mistake. PSG dominated the game, but were unable to score for 89 minutes. However, Paulo Gazzaniga made a horror mistake and gifted PSG the victory. Luis Enrique's men are solid in the league too. On Friday they registered the fifth domestic victory, beating Rennes with 3:1. Bradley Barcola was 'Man of Match' after scoring a brace. PSG are sharing the first place with Monaco, but Arab owners are no more satisfied with domestic trophies. They want the Champions League and that is why this match is very important. Visiting England wasn't a positive experience last season as they suffered a high 4:1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle. To be worse, that was their third straight loss away to an English team in the Champions League. Enrique also has some injury worries as goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mendes and Vitinha are all rated as doubtful. Furthermore, Goncalo Ramos, Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio and Desire Doue are long-term absentees.

Arsenal vs Paris Saint-Germain Prediction:

I expect an interesting clash between two European heavyweights. Both teams are between the candidates for the trophy and it is hard to predict the winners. Arsenal are maybe the favorites in this clash, mainly due to home advantage. PSG showed some weaknesses against Girona and they were lucky to win that match. But one thing is clear, the absence of Mbappe is huge handicap, he is simply irreplaceable. Arsenal could win here.

Liverpool vs Bologna Preview:

Possible starting lineups:

Liverpool:
Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Jota

Bologna:
Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Lucumi, Lykogiannis; Aebischer, Moro, Freuler; Orsolini, Dallinga, Ndoye

Liverpool will welcome Bologna in Wednesday's Champions League fixture. I expect an interesting match at Anfield, though the Reds are clear favorites. Liverpool have started the new season almost perfectly. They are leaders in the Premier League, but also collected three points in the Champions League and progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. New manager Arne Slot iss doing a fantastic job and the fans are pleased. The Reds will try to register the second victory in Europe. It seems the opponents from Italy suits Liverpool. As You probably know, the Reds beat AC Milan 3:1 in the first round. It wasn't easy as Milan scored early in the game, but Slot's men took the initiative and found the back of the net three times. Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk both capitalized on set-piece mistakes from the Rossoneri defense to netted, while Dominik Szoboszlai completed the success midway through the second half. Slot has the majority of his players ready for this match, but Andy Robertson is sidelined after sustained an ankle injury against Wolverhampton. Harvey Elliott is long-term absentee, but Darwin Nunez could be back after illness ruled him out of the last game.

Last season was very successful for Bologna. They secured a Champions League spot, something the fans were dreaming for decades. Nevertheless, the current team is weaker compared to last season's squad. First of all, coach Thiago Motta, the person who was credited as the mastermind behind Bologna's success, left the club and now lead Juventus. New coach Vincenzo Italiano has some European experience, he led Fiorentina to two Europa Conference League finals, albeit losing both of them. It is clear he is not a bad coach, but it is not easy to replace Motta. To be worse, Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee, two important players from the last season, joined Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United. I think that's between the reasons why the current results are not like the previous season. The Rossoblu managed to win just one of the seven competitive matches this term and sit on unlucky 13th place in the Serie A table. The fans are not satisfy, but Sport director Marco Di Vaio believe new coach need more time. Italiano has some additional issues, particularly in attack. Striker Santiago Castro is rated as doubtful after he was forced off last time out. Should Castro not be ready in time, Thijs Dallinga - who came from Toulouse this summer - will lead the line. The problem is the Dutchman is yet to score for Bologna. Lewis Ferguson, Tommaso Pobega and Oussama El Azzouzi are definitely sidelined.

Liverpool vs Bologna Prediction:

Bologna will travel to Anfield after the goalless home draw with the Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the opening match. The Rossoblu play in Europa after 60 years and they will try to make a surprise at Anfield. They are not the same team as coach Thiago Motta left the club and signed for Juventus, while Riccardo Calafiori and Joshua Zirkzee, two important players from the last season, joined Arsenal and Manchester United. However, Bologna will not give up easily. They are free from the pressure and they have nothing to lose. Liverpool are in good form and I expect an efficient match at Anfield. Mo Salah will try to write a history - he could become the first-ever Liverpool player to score in five successive European matches at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Bologna Pick:
