Arsenal lost 3:2 to Southampton in the Premier League last weekend. That was the Gunners' first competitive loss since August when they were beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Unai Emery's men ended the series of 22 games without defeat. Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored both goals for his team, but that was not enough for a positive result. By the way, he has scored more Premier League goals for Arsenal in 25 games (six goals) than he did for Manchester United in 39 appearances (five goals). I believe the atmosphere in the squad is still positive and the players confidence is high. The defeat at St Mary could be explain with the fact Emery was missing lot of important defenders - Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi were suspended, while Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos were out injured. Without them Emery opted for a makeshift back three of the just-recovered Laurent Koscielny, midfielder Granit Xhaka and full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner. The situation looks much better now as Sokratis and Shkodran Mustafi served the suspension and both are available. However, Hector Bellerin sustained a knock against Southampton and was substituted at half-time. The 23-year-old Spaniard is not in contention for this match and will be out for two or three weeks. In addition, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac are both rated as doubtful. Four other players (Rob Holding, Danny Welbeck, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Emile Smith-Rowe) remain out injured.

Tottenham are in solid form at the moment. They have three victories and one valuable draw on the last four matches across all competitions. The Spurs managed to beat Southampton, Leicester City and Burnley in the Premier League. The only draw came in the Champions League - Tottenham played 1:1 with Barcelona at Camp Nou and secured progress with that point. Lucas Moura was the hero on that match after scored a 85th-minute equalizer. On Saturday Tottenham won 1:0 against Burnley and once again scored in the finish of the match. This time it was substitute Christian Eriksen who came to their rescue when he slammed his shot past the former national team goalkeeper Joe Hart in the 91st minute. Eriksen's goal was his first for Tottenham as a substitute in the competition, in his 10th appearance from the bench in the Premier League. The atmosphere in the squad is excellent, while the players confidence is high. Nevertheless, manager Mauricio Pochettino has some injury issues ahead of this match. Eric Dier will be out until 2019 after he had surgery to remove his appendix. He is not expected to return to training until January. His absence is a big handicap for Pochettino as the 24-year-old midfielder has made 13 Premier League starts this season, with only Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Lucas Moura ahead of him. Dier joins Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen and Mousa Dembele on the sidelines. In addition, three more players are rated as doubtful - Serge Aurier, Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Prediction:

I expect both teams to score at the Emirats. Arsenal played a five-goal thriller with Southampton on Sunday. The Gunners are easily scoring and conceding goals this season. Tottenham, meanwhile, are offensive-minded team, none of their Premier League games this season have ended in a draw. Arsenal and Tottenham played few weeks ago and produced a thrilling encounter that finished with six goals. Arsenal took the lead in the first half, only to see a quick double by Tottenham. Arsenal players totally dominated in the second half netting three goals and securing a 4:2 victory.

Arsenal vs Tottenham Pick: Both teams to score - Yes
