In 2016, India is hosting the T20 World Cup and they are the world's most in-form T20 cricket team at the moment. Apart from the very short priced favourite to win, India, I'd rather take the much better odds on offer for South Africa - they defeated India in October last year 2-0 and even though the teams differ, there is a psychological advantage to South Africa, and we all know that anything can happen in T20 cricket.
Another real outside chance is West Indies, if they can perform consistently and defeat South Africa in Group 1, they might be in with an outsiders chance against India. That's way too many ifs and buts for my personal betting rules, but to each their own. The West Indies main issue is their complete lack of T20 cricket match practice. They have played mostly test matches or One Day Internationals over the last year or so which is much different to T20 cricket.
